Original Aviation Skin - Avro RJ85 Braathens SE-DJO
The British Aerospace Avro RJ85 SE-DJO from the largest domestic Swedish airline Braathens Regional Airline is now part of the Aviationtag fleet.
Braathens Regional Airlines is owned by the investment company Braganza, itself 100% owned by the Per Braathen family.
Our SE-DJO took its maiden flight for Swiss Crossair in 1993 – back then still as HB-IXF. In 2002, it then switched to the fleet of Swiss International Air Lines, before joining the Swiss European Airlines’ fleet in 2005. In 2007, it was off to Scandinavia for the RJ85 Avroliner, where it carried out domestic Swedish flights for Transwede Airways, which Braganza has a 50% stake in, until 2009. The SE-DJO was then used by the Group’s sister company Malmö Aviation up until 2016.
Manufacturer Serial Number (MSN) E2226 was then given its typical Braathens Regional Airlines livery and continued to fly for BRA until 2020. In 2021, it was finally scrapped in the UK.
